During each turn, players roll dice to determine their movement around the mansion. As they enter new rooms, they have the opportunity to search for clues, interact with other characters, or make suggestions about the murder. Other players can choose to either confirm or refute these suggestions by presenting contradictory evidence.
The game incorporates a deduction mechanic, similar to the classic game Clue, where players use the process of elimination to narrow down the possibilities and make educated guesses. As players gather more information, they can make an accusation, stating the suspect, weapon, and location they believe to be correct. If their accusation is accurate, they win the game. However, if they accuse incorrectly, they are eliminated from the investigation and the game continues without them.
